Who We Are

Alivement is a personal development platform created by Kieran and Christina Berlin, based in Ontario, Canada. We help people in the Threshold Decade identify where their life is in resonance — and where it isn't — through the Alivement Assessment, an AI-facilitated conversation tool.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

What Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you create an account or begin the Alivement Assessment, we collect:

• First and last name
• Email address
• Your assessment responses — the reflections and answers you share during the AI-facilitated conversation

Information collected automatically

When you visit our platform, our hosting provider (Base44) may collect standard usage data including browser type, device type, pages visited, and session duration through its default analytics tools.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Deliver and personalise your Alivement Assessment experience
• Send you your assessment results and any follow-up resources
• Add you to our email list to share relevant content, workshop announcements, and Alivement updates (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• Improve the assessment experience over time
• Respond to questions or requests you send us

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising.

AI Processing of Your Responses

The Alivement Assessment is facilitated by artificial intelligence. Depending on the session, your conversation responses may be processed by one or both of the following AI providers:

Anthropic (Claude)

Anthropic processes assessment conversation data as part of delivering the AI facilitation experience, in accordance with their privacy policy available at anthropic.com/privacy.

OpenAI (ChatGPT)

OpenAI may also process assessment conversation data as part of delivering the AI facilitation experience, in accordance with their privacy policy available at openai.com/privacy.

We do not use your assessment responses to train AI models, and neither provider uses your data for model training under our current service agreements.

Platform Security

The Alivement platform is built on Base44, which is SOC 2 Type II compliant and ISO 27001 certified — independently audited and verified to meet rigorous data protection standards.

Specific security measures in place:

• Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) at all times
• API credentials and system secrets are encrypted at rest
• Access to assessment data is governed by role-based and row-level security controls, meaning users can only access their own session data
• Administrative access is restricted to the founder and core team only

Administrative Access and Oversight

Your assessment conversation content is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM after your assessment is fully processed. Each user's conversation is encrypted with a unique key — accessing the content requires a deliberate, additional decryption step using that user's specific key.

Administrative access to individual sessions is:

• Limited to the founder and core team
• Logged and auditable — we maintain a record of who accessed what and when
• Governed by a strict internal data access policy
• Never used for purposes other than platform operation, security, or service improvement

We do not casually review your responses. We do not share them with third parties for marketing, research, or any other purpose without your explicit consent.

Third Parties We Share Data With

We share limited personal information with the following trusted service providers, solely to operate the Alivement platform:

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Your assessment responses are stored to allow you to return to and review your results.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at hello@alivementlife.com. We will action all deletion requests within 30 days.

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights over your personal information:

For all users:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Unsubscribe from email communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email

For users in the European Union (GDPR):

• The right to data portability
• The right to restrict or object to processing
• The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

For users in California (CCPA):

• The right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used
• The right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

Cookies

Our platform uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to support basic functionality and analytics. These are set by Base44, our hosting provider, as part of standard platform operation.

You may be able to control cookie settings through your browser preferences. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the assessment experience.

Children's Privacy

The Alivement Assessment is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our platform evolves. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email.
